Feel confident, get prepared – and make the most of your moment!
If your college interview is coming up and you’re feeling nervous – don’t be! We promise, it’s not as scary as it sounds.
Your college interview is simply a short, friendly one-to-one chat with a member of staff. It’s a great opportunity to talk about what you’re passionate about, what you want to do next, and how we can help you get there. If you’d feel more comfortable having a parent or carer join you, that’s totally fine too!
Why Do Colleges Ask for Interviews?
College interviews aren’t about putting you on the spot – they’re about making sure you’re choosing the right courses for you. Think of it as a mini consultation, where we explore your goals, interests, and plans for the future.
It’s also a great chance for you to ask us questions. Whether you’re wondering what a typical timetable looks like, what enrichment activities are available, or what the next steps are after your offer – we’re here to help.
What If I Can’t Make My Appointment?
Life happens – we get it. If something comes up or you miss your scheduled time, no problem! Just drop our Admissions Team a message and we’ll be happy to reschedule at a time that works for you.

Still Feeling a Bit Anxious? Here Are Our Top Tips:
1. Be Prepared
Spend a little time on the college website and read through the course information. The more you know about what you’ve applied for, the more confident you’ll feel when talking about it.
2. Expect the Usual Questions
Most colleges ask similar questions, like:
“Why do you want to study this subject?”
“Why did you choose this college?”
These are things you already know the answers to – just speak honestly and be yourself.
3. Ask Questions
Interviews go both ways. Got something you’re curious about? Ask! Whether it’s about how lessons are structured or what extra opportunities are available, it’s your chance to get answers and show your enthusiasm.
4. Plan Your Journey
Arriving on time helps you stay relaxed and gives you the headspace to focus. Aim to get there a little early. If you’re running late – don’t panic. Just let us know, and we’ll still make sure you get your interview.
Final Word
Remember, your interview is a positive step – it means you’re on your way to joining college. Whether you’re 100% certain about your course choices or still deciding, we’re here to support you.
